Electronic Poker is a popular game that is able to be played in casinos throughout the world, or in your house on your home computer, through a web connection. The regulations are absolutely straightforward and involve the player trying to get the greatest combination of cards as you can in order to win money. On this account it’s very similar as a regular game of poker, minus the interaction with competing players. Of course, techniques employed during a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Video Poker starts when the player puts credits (whether it’s tokens, credit slips or money) into the machine and pushes the deal button. A five card hand will then be "dealt" on the video screen.

The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and enthusiasts should now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the player wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they wish, whether it’s all or none.

After the player has decided on which cards he or she wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘draw’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be handed out if desired. The hand is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the payment schedule.

Generally, the minimum winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It is obvious that the payout schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that knowledgeable gamblers are agile enough to select the most money-making ones each instance.

After the first round has completed, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that they may have won. Additionally, a few styles of the game give the bettor an opportunity to increase their profits, in which situation another hand is played. There are also differences among individual machines, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other differing aspects to increase playability.
